The best hotels in Vancouver near the cruise ship dock

If you’re cruising to Alaska from Vancouver, you’re probably looking for a downtown hotel for before or after your cruise. 

There are many hotels in Vancouver that cater to cruise passengers. This is a list of the downtown hotels that are within walking distance (depending on how much luggage you have) of the Canada Place cruise ship terminal. There are many more that are just a bit farther out but you'll need a taxi or ride share to get there. (If you'd like to know more about these options, please comment and I'll create a list of these hotels as well.)

Pan Pacific Vancouver: This hotel is located right at the Canada Place cruise ship terminal, making it the closest hotel to the terminal. It's a luxurious five-star hotel with sweeping oceanfront and mountain views. The pet-friendly hotel features a rooftop heated saltwater pool, a fitness centre, several restaurants and bars, and a spa. The hotel also has a cruise package that might be of interest.

Fairmont Waterfront: The Fairmont Waterfront is a 4.5-star hotel with stunning views of the harbour and Stanley Park. The hotel features a rooftop herb garden, a fitness centre, a rooftop heated pool, and several restaurants and bars. Fairmont Waterfront’s rooftop garden also acts as a summer home for thousands of honeybees. You'll find the rooftop ingredients in the handcrafted food and cocktails in ARC Restaurant + Bar.

Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront: The Pinnacle Harbourfront is a four-star hotel with beautiful views of the harbour and the North Shore mountains. The hotel features a fitness centre, an indoor pool, and a restaurant and bar. Pet-friendly and with complimentary wi-fi and bottled water. Car rental is available on-site.
Distance from cruise terminal: 550 metres/0.35 mile

Marriott Pinnacle Downtown: The Marriott Pinnacle Downtown is a four-star hotel with stunning views of the harbour and mountains. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness centre and an indoor pool, a whirlpool, and several restaurants and bars. It's close to the Seawall, Stanley Park and shopping on Robson Street.

Westin Bayshore: The Westin Bayshore is a four-star hotel with beautiful views of the harbour and Stanley Park. The hotel features a fitness centre with Peloton bikes, spa, yoga studio, an indoor pool and an outdoor heated pool, and several restaurants and bars.

Coast Coal Harbour Hotel: This four-star hotel features a fitness centre, a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and a restaurant and bar.
